I have been trying to install GM Part#17801157 for my new 2008 H2 SUT. These are roof rails that should fit (at least that is what GM Accessories is telling me) but seem to be too short. The factory rails on top of the truck measure 64" center to center but the hooks that go into the rails (on the roof rails themselves) only measure 62" fully adjustable. Any help?

 

you have to remove the rear running lights and slide em on from the back

 

How do you remove the rear light at the back roof rail. There is a torque fastener I see but I dont want to wreck the plastic is there another fastener under the light cover.
