Default 2007 Hummer H3 Won't start

Anyone able to figure out what causes this problem?
My truck won't start. It cranks, but doesn't start. I was driving down the freeway, and all of a sudden I get "traction failed, service stability, and reduced power" then car never started after that.
It did have a bit of a rough idle for a while, oil was changed with mobile one.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can start troubleshooting by checking for spark and fuel (pull a spark plug and see if it has gas on it), but what you describe sounds like some kind of sensor or computer issue. Honestly, if it were me I'd just have it towed to a dealership or good mechanic.

One other option, see if you can get your hands on a code reader and see what it says. Maybe a place like Autozone will loan you one for an hour?

Thanks man.
Same thing I figured. I had 2 mechanics look at it. First guy said its something electrical and I'm not getting a pulse to the fuel injector. (Don't know what would cause that)
Next mechanic said I need new motor. (which I figure is wayyyy out of the question since this is the first problem I've been having with the truck, and doesn't seem like a motor issue, never overheated, etc.

New motor? I have a hard time believing that. Scratch that, I don't believe it at all. Try to get the codes pulled (may or may not help), or just take it to a GM dealership and see what they say. I know, big hassle with it not running, but between a non specific "something electrical" and "need a new motor" I wouldn't have much faith in either of those shops.

Just for fun I throw out a wild guess - needs a new engine computer. If you were ever considering a PCM4Less tune, this might be a good time. If it turns out to be that, you just fixed it and upgraded at the same time. If not, you just bought an upgrade you were planning anyway.

More info needed. First off, is there a lien on your rig?

thanks man, that would be my next step if the accelerator pedal and sensors i just ordered don't fix problem.

and no, their isn't a lien on hummer. If it was, i would've bought it to the dealer i got hummer from.

Ok so I installed new accelerator pedal, and new crankshaft sensors and still nothing.
When I tried to crank it today while stepping on gas, it did crank but its a very loud noise coming from bottom of engine. hummer won't stay on without me pressing on the pedal. any ideas?

I have a similar problem from time to time, but my security light flashes and the starter will not engage. I guess there is a bug with my remote start system, I just give it 10 min or so to reset and it fires right up.

I had those errors come up when I first got my hummer. My problem was the sunroof drain on the right side front popped off and water was going down the A piller under the dash on the right side and got some on the little black box behind there. I got the reduced power traction failed etc errors. I opened up the right side dash dried everything and covered it in plastic in case it ever happened again. Then I reconnected the tube to the drain hole (should have put a zip tie on it while I was in there) and so far it has not happened since. I was lucky and did not have to replace the black box thing(maybe that was the computer??) anyway that was about 3 years ago and have not seen those error since. Check that if it happens again. Good luck!
