Default 2007 H2 Tire and Wheel Question

Hey guys I know very little about cars and am looking to get some bigger tires on my H2. I just bought a 6" lift and was looking to get 38.5" Super Swamper Bogger tires. Just before buying I saw something that said they are horrible for if you go at highway speeds and that you should only get 10 ply for an H2. So I started looking more at the Super Swamper TSL Radial but I saw that to get a 10 ply the largest tire you could get would be 36" which I want a bit bigger. The wheels I want to go with them are the Black Daytona wheels and you can get a 10 ply TSL but you'd have to get a 16.5" wheel which the Black Daytona's don't come in. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong brand here. Can you guys help me out a bit? I saw some of you around here liked Nitto but are they any good for highway speeds? I really am looking for a badass looking tire.

I've been looking around a bit more and am looking to go with either the Nikko Mud Grapplers or the Maxxis Creepy Crawlers so any information to push me towards one way or another would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I do not have experience with either of the tires, but I have heard the Mud Grapplers humming down the highway. From what I hear they are great in the mud, but have extremely loud road noise. I personally have the terra grapplers and they are great. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Thanks for the response. I'm the kinda guy who likes those loud badass things and stuff. Could anyone point me in a direction of a place to buy the Mud Grapplers? Only place I found that had them were wheels4less. Also with the rims would I get the wheels x8 or x10? I really don't understand how I'd figure that out. Again any info would be greatly appreciated.

Like I said the rim width depends on on tread width....8.5-11.5 will fit an 8 inch rim.... 13.5 + should be on 10"+

NOW... since you asked for opinions... I say be different and get the 39.5x13.5-17 IROK's they are 8 ply... and have a 4080lb load rating.... you will need a 17x10 rim for that...

Do you think 18x9 will fit on a 38/15.50R 18?

Also go look at the bfg mud terrain km2's thats what i have. The work great in mud and are not to loud. I wouldent go with the toyos because they are not very aggressive looking. My bro has the nittos on his truck and they yell.

Yeah I'm the kinda person who likes the loudness and stuff. The Nittos look really aggressive. I just hope the rims aren't to small width wise.
