Thanks for reply, I found a guy today who added grommets to both floor mats, $5.00 for both. But I do think the oem plush ones look better since they are thicker carpet. I'll look for the 2 grommet hole ones again, just in case these dont hold up. a bit thin. I do have a set of the oem black rubber ones for snow and mountain trips. but the ones i bought off ebay 3 piece were $37. too.

 

my passenger side has 2 holes too in my 2006.

 

the weathertech ones have two holes.

 

My 2006 H3 Adventure had 2 hole mats, traded that in on a 2009 H3X and that has one hole mats. I kept my heavy duty rubber OEM mats with 2 holes from the Adventure and use in my H3x I still have the carpet mats, brand new condition in storage.

 

I wonder if gm had a reason other than saving a few cents as to why they changed it, if not then their reasoning didn't pan out too well. I'd guess maybe the pattern is shared with another gm somewhere in the world?

 

they are the same as the colorado/canyons I believe. that is what the weathertechs I have were marketed as anyways.

 

I dunno if it makes a difference or not but i have two holes well and an 06 lux and i think it is something with that maybe. maybenot. oversized floormats are listed in luxury model specs from brochure.
