Just like the title says. I installed an aftermarket stereo, with the expensive instal kit more than 1 year ago. Just the other day the battery was dead and after a good charge and starting the truck, now the radio doesn't shut off after you shut off the truck and leave. The battery is very old and in need of replacing. But could it be causing that?

 

i doubt it. but you r ready for a new one so try it.if it stays on,it a new one here!
check your wires.

 

Check your door switch. Next time you get out a the radio does not shut off jiggle the door switch and see if it doesn't cut off.

 

X2, one of your door pin switches may be inop. Don't forget to check the rear door pin switch also.
