2006 Hummer H3 Headlights | Halo Projector Headlights

Has anyone had any experience with any of these lights ?

It would appear that these headlight housings are just a replacement for the stock damaged/broken housing and they would still use the H13 halogen bulb.
An OEM headlight housing is pricey and these are less expensive.

Are you trying to get more light from your headlights ?
If so, you can always go to a better H13 bulb, like SilverStar Ultras and others like that
These bulbs do offer slightly better illumination over the stock H13.

I would advise against HID "kits", that use the current housings, but that is just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply , I am not looking to replace the entire H/L assembly, would like to upgrade the lumens ie lamps, at the bottom of the page are the replacements you mentioned. An HID conversion would prolly be to hot for the fixtures , I agree with that.
The LED replacements for the amber running lights on our front corners do look a little interesting .

The way I have this figured out for increasing headlight lumens
1) Upgrading to a better halogen bulb is the first step, albeit a small one
2) Second is a HID "kit". They put out allot of light, but they are illegal in 50 states.
They do work in the stock headlight housing, but cause severe dazzle to oncoming drivers.
3} is a true projection HID conversion fro The Retro Fit Source. They are legal and work just like OEM projection HID's, but require some serious work to install, like baking open your headlight housing in an oven.
4) Is the STARR projection HID system, which I have. It is legal and true plug-n-play system, but is is about $800.00. Some find that cost prohibitive. It was the best upgrade I ever did.

Can't help you with the LED conversion, I don't know much about them for the H3.
They would not be much in the high lumen output. The Prius uses them for low beam only and they are not very bright.
The side markers look pretty cool in LED

Everyone dislikes the stock light output of the H3 headlights.
Good Luck

Steve-
You may have hit it at just the right time. $749.00 is the cheapest I have ever seen, anywhere. I paid $800.00 in late 07 and I have the black inner housing. And I am glad you don't need convincing, just how bright they are

Zenon's are so Schweet because of the knife edge cut line on their illumination , I dont ever recall being flashed by an opposing motorists...but if ya kick the highs on....granny bar the door...its like daylight way out in front...and you have the choice of color...on my factory car they were pure bright light...me thinks I would like the blue...do you have the 35W or 55s ?

I have the 35 watt system.
They didn't have the 55 watt back in 07.

Be advised you lose lumens when you go to a bluer color (kelvin temp)
4100K Phillips D1S envelope is rated at 3200 lumens. That is the brightest of all 35 watt systems. If you go to 5000K or higher, the lumens drop to 2700 and then down as you approach that purple color. I have seen 7000K and 10000K envelopes, but I like the white light and brightest light I can get, so I stayed with 4100K.

I put the Starr's on my h3 about 3 years ago. Best upgrade and I really like the look.
