I looked at a place that was a little glue or sealant in one place so there is a risk that it's bad at any point and then it will enter water ....

Richard

do you mean the drivers door handle or the grab handle on the inside of the A pillar?

if it is A pillar, you need to clear caulk all the roof stuff, corner lights, marker lights, onstar antenna, make sre your sun roof drains drain. check the long weather strip that goes up the A pillar and all the way back to the rear of the rear door and check the black plastic windshield side trim.... may have to remove old rubber strip inside... I used 3m double sided emblem tape to replace it

remove the lights and clean up area well.... you will see the big holes that grommets fit in and clean and fill up the gromets too,, would not hurt to seal the length of the roof seams too... use blue painters tape have plenty of rags handy to keep caulk off of unwanted areas.. really clean surfaces and let them dry b4 caulking.... work slow and careful... caulk tends to get on everything... or maybe I am just a bad caulker....

UPDATE: I noticed a few areas under the drivers side amber light which I sealed. The metal seam was raised so I sealed the area. I also noticed a tear in the rubber plug below the light fixture. I also noticed the front clip under the amber lens was broken. I ordered a complete light assembly which arrives tomorrow for a grand total of $140. This sucks...

UPDATE: I changed my new light assembly (light with new gasket, rubber grommet, etc), sealed the surrounding area as previously mentioned. I also installed a clamp on the front sunroof drain (was never installed). I ran it through the car wash and so far NO LEAK!

Felt so good I cleaned and reconditioned the leather and cleaned the beast up!

Jens: Use the seam sealer on the seams. Not sure if you can get what I used there but if you need it drop me a PM and we can make it happen.
