I am strongly looking to buy one of two H1 wagons:
1998 with 45000 miles close to me $42000, dealer
1996 with 50000 miles, near my parents in CA, $38000 new motor by hummer dealer with 12000 miles on it (due to cyl 8 issue), private party.

Any comments or preferences or issues, would appreciate the help.

Thoughts or concerns about buying the '98 regarding cyl 8 issues..?

 

#8 issue is a concern, especially for a low mileage truck. That said it does have the upgraded HVAC which the 96 probably has not had added. Tough choice but 98 models are generally more desirable. Condition of each could be the tie breaker.
