Just got this 1996 H1.

A/C doesn't push at all. All 'hot air' (hahah oh brother)

Am I looking at a compressor problem or just needs a re-charge?

Could be a number of things. A slow leak could definitely be the culprit, in which case a recharge would temporarily resolve the problem.

Has it had the upgraded heater core/HVAC system installed in it already?
One of the easier ways to tell is to look at the controls - are they round *****, or does it have a digital display with buttons with a picture of a "seated person" on it?

Does it readily switch from defrost to upper vents, to lower vents, when you select those options?
Does the rear HVAC experience the same problems when you turn the fan on for that?

 

Especially after reading your last 16 posts, Alex.... the hot air could just be you running your damn fool mouth all the time....
