Default 1980 triumph tr7

I own a 1980 triumph tr7 convertible. It's a awesome car for cruising around on the weekend. I have never had a problem with it (till now) other than crappy British wiring. Engine has 70,000 km on it and has problems starting now. I go to start it and turns other but won't start. Wait 5 minutes try again she fires and runs like a top. Anybody no why?

The battery is charged and it has fresh v-power. Maybe the injectors?

Sounds like you have a slow leak back in your fuel system. Let me explain, if you let the vehicle sit for an extended amount of time, the fuel empties out of the system and back to the tank. Crank it a few times and nothing. What your doing is priming the pump. Since you let is sit for a few minutes, it is now primed and starts right up.

I have this exact problem with my '82 Fiat X-1/9

Nice to see other members with tr-7's. Not very many left on the roads.

Just a boxster for now...yes I know its slow...I plan on trading it in this spring for a 911. any issues with your 911 since owning it? I have had the boxster for 3 years and only thing I have done is change the oil...Great car!
