Default 18 v 20 inch rims

Seriously considering some new rims - KMC Rockstar XD, matte black. Debating 18 (0 offset) v. 20" (+10 offset) rims. Would be getting Nitto Terra Grappler tires. The 18s would come with 325/65/18, and the 20s would come with 295/60/20 tires. Prices all in (mounted, balanced, lug nuts, install, etc)., with tax: 18s would be $2,455, and 20s would be $2,700. So the price is not terribly different.

I have read / searched through various posts (and there is some great technical info out there!), and would appreciate members input on 18s v 20s as far as aggressiveness, appearance, handling, ride quality, etc.

My understanding is that either set will fit the H3 without any modifications, but the 18s with 0 offset will stick out further than the 20s.

I'm looking for an aggressive look with my H3, but also want a tire that rides well, has good durability and treadware, performs well in all seasons (I get plenty of snow), performs well off roading, etc.

Any and all comments are appreciated. Thanks.

I run 18 XD SPYs with I believe is a -12 offset. They do have a 4.5" backspacing, and that is more important than the offset. backspacing for the stock wheels is 5.5". I run Nitto trails in 295/70s which is about 34.5" tall. We don't get a lot snow, but they have worked well in all other types of weather and offroading

Just my opinion but if you want a good ride and off road performance avoid anything bigger than 16". For an aggressive look go for a 35" tire, maybe GY Duratracs for all around performance including snow & ice.
