Default '09 Bluetooth

Hi all.

Anyone know how they have bluetooth in the '09? Did they change the radio, add a module, change onstar?

Wondering if I can upgrade something to allow the bluetooth. I am looking to get the nav and don't want to buy the old version if a new radio is required for bluetooth.

Anyone, anyone, Bueller? Anyone?

Thanks
Jim

I say save your money and just put in an aftermarket radio, like the Pioneer AVIC series. You will get more bang for the buck, guaranteed. Here are some pics of mine: LINKY

Okay well now I guess I have to explain myself...[:@]

I own a Saab 9-7x 5.3i 2008.

Apparently we share the same radio and nav system. Although most of the vehicle is based on the trailvoy.

Anyway, I have the base 6 cd changer, and would like to get the nav. They are online for about $650-850.

Obviously if 2009 came out with a new version that has bluetooth already, I'd just like to get that instead.

Since the 9-7x is the bastard child of Saab and GM, I thought I'd come over to the H3 forum where people actually post info.... haha

Can anyone help a brother down on his luck?

I can tell you this much. The system in my 09 H3T does have bluetooth capability. I have my cell phone paired with it and use it all the time.

If you don't use your onstar you could also go with the Bluestar option by Costar. It is a module that plugs into your existing onstar and uses the existing mic and speakers for handsfree. It is available for all onstar up to gen6 and gen7 will be out shortly. As you already know, gen8 onstar already has bluetooth integrated.
