Default 08 h3 p1175

Hey guys I'm working on a friends H3 at the moment, it threw a P1175 code for fuel trim and i read about the TSB's for it in all the 5.3's and was wondering how common it actually is to have clogged injectors and if we could clean them without the specialty snap on tools.

we erased the code and it never came back BUT it still has an intermittent misfire/pinging which is strange to me because originally it was constant, after we threw in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner+cleared the code it now comes and goes.

I've also read it could be a bad 02 sensor but was hoping to get some second opinions before just throwing parts at it.

It happened about 10 minutes after he filled up on a road trip so I'm also thinking he could have gotten some bad gas?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If you don't mind my asking, what OBD II scan hardware/software are you using?

X2 on Techtron. I buy it by the case and use it if I ever have to fill up with non-top tier fuel. Put the recommended amount in and run it to 1/8 tank. If the "miss" is still there then go hunting. Bad gas will make any motor run like poop until it's all out of the system.
