Default 08 Alpha Dead Battery

Hi.My neighbors were snickering at me this afternoon when I asked one of them for a boost. This is the second time my battery has gone dead.Once, two weeks ago at night after being parked for 24 hours, bone dead, the remote door lock would not even open the door..When I opened the door with the key, even the interior lights were dead.Boosted the truck, drove it home20 min ,and lots of juice in the battery.I have noticed in the past week, it kinda started slow, not the fast revolutions it should have.Todays ordeal, it went click, click, and kaput. The last time I drove it was Sat,8:00 pm..and today at 3 pm dead with justenough juice to open the door locks..I have read in some posts before about batteries going dead on hummers but I never paid attention to it..Anyone know what would be causing the battery drain, other than cheapGM delco battery..I just boughtmy H3this summer and it only has 5200 kms on the truck.Any input into this will be greatly appreciated..In the mean time I will read other postson batteries.Thanks.

Other than the battery itself, I don't know if there are any specific issues that cause the battery to drain. I have had some suspicions about onstar, but haven't been able to back that up. What you describe is exactly what has happened to me twice. The first time it was due a bad batch of batteries with defective cells the second time they kinda tried to imply that it was because I was running it down (which I wasn't). Once you search around here you'll see a trend and come to the conclusion that the batteries aren't the greatest. I have a friend with a 06 Canyon who has had 2 batteries as well. Take it to the dealer and get the battery replaced. That should solve your issue.

Batteries, like any other part and/or component, can go bad. It is covered under your warranty, take it to the dealer so they can load test it and replace it.

Good luck.

It wasa NFG battery. The service dept did a battery load test and it failed. The service manager said he will put in a genuine hummer battery instead ofa gm delco batt.Is there such athing as a hummer batt, or is he just pulling my wire.

Not sure if there is a Hummer battery, it's all GM parts.

well i just joined the dead battery club with my 2 month old H3. Last 3 days the truck was cranking really weak and now the battery is dead. Hummer roadside assistance is pretty good though, im waiting for them as we speak.
