06 hummer H3 getting low ball offers
Well it's time I sell my H3. I am just driving way too much and need something smaller. Anyway I tried to trade her in for a smaller SUV 3 weeks ago and dealer only offered $12500. I was like no way. I put truck on CL and cars.com for 16.500 and nothing. Dropped it to 15,999 and got about 4 cash offers at 13-14k. I turned them all down. Now I am thinking I should of grabbed the 14k offer due to the lack of good offers. The truck just turned 100k miles however it is all commute. Here is my AD any suggestion to change AD would be great. Should I drop price even more? If so to what. Then I read a post a guy asking 25k for his 2006 but only has 12k miles.

+1; that was a generous trade-in. Retail on a 100K truck won't be much higher. Most H3 shoppers simply won't even consider a 100K mile vehicle at any price.
I had plenty of offers, just not what I wanted. I just showed truck tonight and got another 13500 cash offer. I told him 14500 he wouldn't go for it. If it does not sell by end of next week I may take his offer if still interested. Will post.
Sounds like you wanna keep it?
I would. Your loss plus the difference in another truck that might get 5 mpg better?
It is not gonna pay itself off.
15 mpg vs 20mpg and 20k miles a year is 333 gallons extra or about $1200 equals $100 a month extra on gas.
Something is telling me that that the newer SUV you wanted will depreciate more than that $100 extra in gas.
Do your numbers and be honest. It is smarter took keep driving you H3 (and more fun).
I could be wrong if my number would be way of (like driving 40 k a year) or the new SUV doing 30mpg

You should come clean and report if your vehicle had the TC plastic fork replaced . Probably why some are offering he difference between the 13-14k. Everyone knows about the problem by now. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/95...ift-forks.html

There are 3 other factors on 06's that have far more imapct on potential buyers than that shift fork. 3.5, possible head issue, front lockers
yeah, definitely state the condition of the truck. price depends on where you live as well. in todays economy, its a buyers market, yand with rising gas prices, you may have to settle for less i suppose...
