06' H3 noise in front end HELP!!!

When I make a sharp turn I have a loud clunk in my right front tire?? Also while stopped if you turn the wheel all the way to either side and take your foot off the brake it doesn't move almost like it's binding up. I have no problems just driving down the road. On snowy roads it doesn't have the clunk when turning. It's a 2006 H3 with 60,000 miles. Any ideas what it could be..

Hello and Welcome.

Upper or lower ball joint, outer tie-rod, Hub bearing.......

You may be in HI Lock either by accident, stuck switch or damaged fork in transfer case. Those would be my first checks.

Thanks you guys

Funny you should say a stuck switch. The first time it happened, I noticed I was locked in 4H luckily I live on dirt roads and was only going 10-15mph, I put it back where it should be and 20 min. later took a sharp turn heard the noise and now it happens ebrytime I make a sharp turn..So now the question is how do I get it unstuck???

If you are not binding at very low speed on dry pavement, then it is likely something other than being stuck in Hi Lock or a bad fork. Exercise the switches and see if that helps. Could be a CV joint going bad or a number of other things such as Tainter mentioned.
