I just purchased a grill guard from a local resident and he said he just took the two screws out of the tow hook assy and it came off. I did that and there is STILL something holding it from the backside. Ive tried hammering and still wont budge. Can someone tell me HOW to get those tow hooks off the front?

Chaz... you took the large bolt off from the middle that holds the loops onto the base plate, and you took off the two bolts on the base plate that mount to the frame of the vehicle, right? Look in the center section of the base plate sometimes there's set screws there you might have to un screw those... after that if they still don't come off you'll have to post some pics, you have the stock setup? or is something aftermarket there?

I remember there being a little place screw for the bracket during assembly -- I think we may have actually just used a pry-bar to knock it off -- you don't need it, it's not there for structural support, just for the manufacturing.

Just give it a yank and put your BG on!

GOT IT!!!!!!!! turned the buckles sideways put a tire iron in it and a 6' THINK pole slid it over the tire iron and POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
