Default 03 H2 Oil Pressure Question

03 H2 95k miles, no previous oil pressure symptoms. Drove from Houston to Dallas stopped to eat and shop, downtime 6hrs, got back in to startup no oil pressure on gauge, DIC chime going off, shut off engine to ck fluid level and such, no issues, started back up let warm up with no apparent knocking or temp issue, revved engine a couple times and gauge started working fine ,drove to hotel no issues (20miles). Next morning same issue no oil pressure, rev engine gauge work drove back to Houston 200 plus miles, now everytime we stop have to rev engine to get gauge to work.
Gauge cluster replaced about a year ago with new gauges.

Is this problem the gauge, sensor or pump.

Thanks

if it triggered the DIC then it probaly isn't a gauge problem. If you drove home 200 miles with no engine probs and no over heating it appears that the oil pump and cirdulation is OK. So I would suspect a bad sensor.

It could be any of those three items, you need someone to screw in a real pressure gauge and verify the oil pressure, You could also take a gamble and try a new oil pressure sending unit first.
