Default 03 H2 BCM location

Ok, many electrical issues (doors locking, seat memory, etc...) is forcing me to have the BCM replaced. The catch, $300 for BCM, $1,000.00 to install, I am being told that it is due to the location of it. My idea, tear it down to that point then drop off at dealership and save 6 hours of labor cost. Just need to know where to start.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Fireman, unfortunatly part of the 'labor' costs is programming the module. If I read the shop manual correctly, none of the control modules come programmed.
When I was troubleshooting my 4WD problem, I found out about what it takes to swap modules. 1) the module can be programmed on a bench computer or 2) it can be programmed in the vehicle through a remote 'hand-held' from a computer. option 1 is the quickest and best because it runs diagnostics also.
If I remember correctly the BCM is in the engine bay near the hydro boost unit on the firewall. Not 100% on that, I kinda did a data dump when I was done.
I got my shop manual (2 Vol. set) from Helm Inc. The OBD system is a CAN system, so if you want to communicate with any module, you need a scanner that is GM CAN "Enhanced" enabled .
