Default New set ATR tires $300 OOP installed

I got new tires for my wife's 2020 GMC AWD TERRAIN. She always fears driving in the winter/snow covered roads. I promised her when the tires get to 70% I will replace and go with my choice, changing from passenger tires to ATR tires. Now her ride is at 24k miles and the tires are at 70%.
HOLD MY BEER,
I did some research and found CrossContact ATR at Wallyworld on sale @$130.00 each x 4=$520.00 +$72.00 installation with FREE road hazard protection to WALMART+members. + Get a $110 Rebate I used my 1.5% cash back CC and purchased WM gift cards at a 6% discount from cardcookie to purchase the tires installed at my local WM auto center. I contacted them previous to the appointment and they stated no valve stem replacement with tire install. No problem I sent my wife with a new free set of TMPS sensors thanks to Amazon vine
Pre-Programmed TPMS Sensor 315Mhz Pre-Programmed TPMS Sensor 315Mhz

Here comes another discount: Appointment scheduled at 12:00pm 8/3, my wife checked in at 11:36am, service started at 12:39pm and service completed at 3:40pm, without the TMPS sensors synced (I received multiple texts from OnStar(low tire warnings) & Walmart during the install) My wife of 40yrs was getting frustrated, and I simply told her to leave and make sure all the old tires and old sensors are in the truck. Nothing returned and another 15minutes for them to get the parts returned inside the truck.

She showed up with the new tires installed and 0 on the DIC. I simply started the TMPS learn procedure and completed within 30seconds, using my $8 tpms tool (another free item from vine) and torqued the lug nuts to 100lb(previously set at 80-90lb)
I contacted walmart customer service and they immediately refunded me the install of $72.00.
Today, I cleaned up the old tires and listed on CL
My wife was unsure of my choice to go AT tires on her ride, yet after driving on them yesterday and today, she loves them. Happy Wife, Happy Life (40yrs to this date) My 40th year anniversary present to her!

Hold the horses there, Hummerz! How could you not put Generals on your wife's vehicle? You get her the lower-grade stuff?

Not so fast my friend! My first choice was General APT, however a few things changed my mind:
#1-My wife bitching if the tires were noisy!

2-Lower tread wear rating General APT UTQG: 520 A A vs Continental ContiCrossContact ATR: UTQG: 600 A A

3- Reviews ratings lower on the General APT vs Continental ContiCrossContact ATR

4-Price & availability General APT:

Those are good tires, sounds like a heck of a deal. What is Amazon Vine? I buy from Amazon sometimes but have not heard of Vine. One of my friends buys a lot from Woot, which I think is an Amazon company.

Amazon Vine is an invitation-only program Amazon Vine is an invitation-only program
I received an invitation 9/11 last year and have received/reviewed over 900 items so far. Many items received I have used, some were junk I sent to the curb, and many items donated.

Nice score! Continentals are good tires, and a happy wife definitely makes for a happy life. We just celebrated our 39th anniversary last week, although we dated for 6 years prior to getting married, so we've actually been together 45 years. Happy Anniversary!

This is the longest she has been driving the same vehicle over the last decade. In 2014 I bought her a 2011 Buick Regal(she has been driving Buick Regals since 1983) off a 3yr lease. In 2017 she said she wanted a SUV (since both of our daughters have SUV along with my H3 that she drives without fear), therefore I got her a 2017 Buick Encore AWD, and traded the 2011 Buick Regal to cover the 3yr lease on the 2017 Buick Encore. Now comes 2020, She wants to go bigger, therefore I sold the 2017 Buick Encore to cover lease buyout, and got a 3yr lease on a 2020 GMC TERRAIN AWD. Lease expired 1yr ago, and book value was $7k over buyout, so I purchased lease buyout.
Now she is content, however I have to keep it clean to protect my investment.
With her driving with friends/family/grand kids/dogs...etc.. makes a mess inside.
Thanks to Amazon vine sending me custom fitment floor mats, back rest mats, cargo mat, rear seat cover, retractable cargo cover, along with a lifetime supply of cabin air filters, makes it easier for me to keep the interior clean. Amazon vine also sent me roof rails, window vent visors, many wiper blades, license plate frame, and a "shepherd edition" emblem for the rear door:

Update: My wife has been very pleased driving on the Continental CrossContact ATR tires!
I sold the old tires for $100.00 cash and received the $110.00 rebate in today's mail.
After all completed the actual OOP cost installed with TAX: $310.49!
MSRP @ $184.99 Per Tire.
