I agree, I would hands down take an H3T alpha no question about it but those things are all but holy grails anymore. I do like the new Jeep truck though, totally awesome. I have heard rumors of the base price starting at $60k.

My wife is drooling for the new Gladiator. She thinks she is getting one. I need a plan to talk her into sticking with the H3T. Been keeping my eye out for an Alpha or I bite the bullet and swap out the 5 cyl. Some nice wheels and new paint maybe. Can't compete with the removable top and doors though.

She saw this picture over my shoulder of TAINTER's H3T and said that's a beautiful truck. She thought it was a Gladiator. I said no, that's your Hummer fixed up.

The Gladiator wasn't so impressive in person. We both agreed it wasn't for us at $44K for the max trailer we spec'd out. The V6 was very buzzy and didn't seem faster than our 5 cyl. I can't imagine towing 7000lb with it. We decided to keep our H3T. While searching for an Alpha, the wife fell in love with an H2 SUT. Very limited utility on that truck. Still have the H3T.

I've seen a couple decent local builds of the Gladiator. Cool trucks for sure, confirms the H3T was before its time and my preferred choice.

Everything in always greener on the other side...

Wife wanted a new ZR2 in Orange, Sold her LOADED & MINT 2010 H3 Alpha OffRoad and bought her one last November.
Last month she told me she is not happy with the ZR2 and wants an H3T Alpha OffRoad, Leather, backup camera and sunroof .
Sold the Zr2 and I found a nice 2009 H3T Alpha OffRoad with cloth. Replaced the cloth with leather, rebuilt the entire front end suspension with OEM ACDelco parts, Starr HIDs, 315s on some Slotted 7s and a BA Bumper I had in the HUMMER Parts storage.
My wifes personalized plate reads "NOTJEEP".
Guess who smiles EVERYTIME she looks at her 10 year old truck! She does

Moral of the story, grass wasn't greener.

Sold this:

FOR THIS, and she was not happy.

Found this

DID THIS - Now she is happy!
