Default Gas & Electric prices dropped

I just received an email electric bill for December, while making the payment online I noticed my current locked rate is going from .0599 to .0999, before I made the payment, I searched for a new supplier and chose AEP my current gas supplier. While locking into a lower rate for 12months, I also noticed they offered a lower rate for my gas. HUGE SAVINGS(Natural Gas -.250 Ccf=-34%.....Electric -44% kWh compared to my next month rate) for the next 12months and no early termination fee. Energy Choice

Hummerz,
That is genuine, good news...and YOU appear to be the benefactor!
The current resident of the White House has done every conceivable thing possible to ruin the economy, restrain our liberties, allow illegals to enter the country and I could go on....but I'm sure you get it!
Very happy for you!

I don't accept that pos in the W.H.!!!!, instead I find my own way of lowering the cost to me. Owning 3,000+ sq.ft., & multiple renovations to make more energy efficient, reducing usage, yet with increased rates cost me more$.
My natural gas & electric usage decreased 10-12%, yet my total cost for the year increased 17%.

You are doing far more than most "rate payers"...but the power companies don't reward good efforts. We are retired. Sold our large suburban home & moved to our slightly smaller lake house. When we bought our Tiffin Allegro Bus, we bought this RV Port home. Sold our lake home and moved here several years ago. Much smaller! Only wish it wasn't totally electric. Oh well. Life goes on. Hope you enjoy a Happy New Year!

Great HummerZ,
Unfortunately for us here in NM we don't get a choice of who our gas supplier is even though we are a major natural gas producing state.

The bastard Gas company here in New Mexico is only raising rates and recently have asked the Public Service Commission to allow a 11.2% rate increase. And since the Commission representatives are totally appointed by our Democratic Governor, and 100% Democrats so a rate increase is a done deal just like the last 3.

I received multiple notices email and snail mail.
Dynegy TX states; my new rate starting after my next meter reading> .0999Kwh +$9.95 month FEE.

Ohio Edison states: AEP is becoming my electric generation supplier on my next meter reading January 26,2024 @.0555Kwh no FEE!
Perfect timing!
My last 12 months use(KWH)=6949
Based on the same use, my next 12 months would be:
Dynegy> 6949Kwh x.0999+$9.95monthly fee=$694.21+$119.40=$813.61
Switching supplier to AEP my next 12 months:
6949Kwh x.0555 $0monthly fee=$385.67

-$427.94
