Bought a 2023 Jeep
I appreciate your loyalty to GM, Hummerz. Back in the early 2000's, I was cruising east on Interstate 90 east of the Washington Cascades. It was close to sundown. All of a sudden, my 1998 Chevrolet Blazer lurched to the right and slid off the highway. Being almost dark, I had limited visibility as to what was in front of me. The vehicle was barely controllable as I raced forward to God knows what. Finally, the vehicle slid to a stop. When I got out of the Blazer, I saw a 12'-15' drop-off just three feet in front of the Blazer's bumper! The upper ball joint had snapped which allowed the right front wheel to flip down on the ground. Just a few minutes later a highway patrolman arrived and he was stunned at how lucky I had been! My H3X Hummer is the first GM product since that day!
Always keep an open ear, your truck may tell you something!
Nope. Own a Jeep xj. It's a crap shoot with any Jeep product. My gf works in auto industry. She owns a Jeep and the engine had to be replaced just 2 years after buying it lol. Lucky she is well liked and knows people. It was covered with her warranty i begged her to buy. My Jeep TJ was brand new and luvd it but it was a nightmare. Traded it at a lost to buy my H3. My xj is a beast but everything is needed some work. It's a Jeep thing lol! More like quality control issue thing. Right now she has a friend with a brand new $50 k Jeep and it's lemon law lawer time it's so bad. My brother on the other hand owned a 99 tj and it was dependable as all get out.

First let me say to all JL Jeep owners I say this without any insult intended.
The JL Wrangler series is a total piece of crap, don't believe me? Go up on the JLWranglerForum and read the horror stories yourself. The do a search of Jeep reliability. The Wrangler is one of the lowest rated vehicle for dependability!
Here is just a little of what you can expect: Corrosion in many area, mostly by hinges, 3.6L engine's rocker arms and camshaft destroy themselves before 55k. 2.0l head gaskets below the 50k mark that usually destroy the engine. Steering box problems, Automatic trans issues. Aluminum knuckle failure in the front end. Electrical gremlins that leave you stranded. And if you buy a Hybrid 4xe, fires, tons of recalls. The list goes on. Please anyone even considering purchasing a Jeep product do yourself a big favor and do your homework. You will thank me later.
I can tell you this first hand because I owned a 18 JL Wrangler Rubicon and while it was fun and great looking, but then I grew to curse it. It spent a lot of time in the service department and was so happy the day I dumped it. Thank god I bought it used and didn't take a major beating on it when I sold it off. Like many now are!
I have a friend that works in the service department of a local Jeep dealer, he called me the other day and said, BTW, your old Rubi was in for a replacement motor because of rocker arm failure putting metal through out the engine toasting it. Wow dodged a bullet with that one!
Jeep hasn't had a great engine since the old 4.0L engine was one of the best,Bullet proof. I have a relative who has well over 250k on his!. Maybe the next generation of the Wrangler will be better but as long as Stellantis is running the show I seriously doubt it.
Again no insult intended and if you own a Wrangler I wish you the absolute best!
