Hello, always wanted one and did it. Was pampered for most of its life in West Palm Beach. Traded in and bought by the dealer as his personal truck. He owns a lot of cars so even though he had his own shop, I think mostly it sat and when used was used for snowplow in his driveway. I have replaced an impact sensor, rear differential lock wiring, overhauled the roof gutters, the HVAC fan resistor, taken care of about 50% of the rust and other than that just an oil change and some Techron in the gas tank. Could definitely use new exhaust manifolds but purrs once warm. Dual FlowMaster exhaust. I DIY as much as I can so will be here a lot. 140k miles.
If you have an exhaust manifold leak/broken bolt(s), they make LS Exhaust Manifold Brackets that take care of that with two bolts and 10 minutes for around $20.
I got one of those brackets. I've got three broken bolts on the passenger side and two on the driver. Mechanic will put on OEM manifolds both sides for the labor price of one side, and he basically has to weld on nuts all around to pull the old bolts out. I figure I should take the offer before it costs twice as much, and I'd like to see and hear the improved performance. Maybe there's a thread for it here.
