Just picked up a pretty much bone stock unmolested 2007 H3 with only 79K on it. Looks like the rad has been replaced and has a touch screen where the radio should be.
Very happy so far, well see what the future holds. Has 285/75/16's on the stock wheels. Just going through it, replaced all the door handles, bump stops, about to upgrade the shocks.
Has a very slight seep from the front diff but otherwise tight. Any suggestions on things I should look out for or any preventative measures I should take? Thanks! Tuffy, my new favorite project!
Sunroof drain clogging which causes leaks in the driver and/or passenger footwells
OE battery terminals are junk. Replace with a quality aftermarket option
electrical gremlins due to electrical connector corrosion from water leaks. BCM behind the passenger footwell kick plate and the harness connectors nearby can cause all sorts if weird electrical related issues. Just about every electrical thing or light outside the engine bay routes through the BCM
Similar electrical corrosion issue on the transfer case actuator connector on top of the back side of the transfer case can cause SERV 4WD error messages
cooling system is borderline. Should run just below 1/2, or be able to get there by holding 2k RPM. If you can't keep it under control in stop/go traffic or when hot hot hot outside, then check fan clutch, belt, tensioner, water pump, radiator shrouds and seals, gunk between condenser & radiator, and then the radiator itself
leaf spring corrosion can cause the top of the forward eye to break off, at which point the only thing holding the leaf in place is the weight of the truck. Reach up top with your fingers and feel to make sure the spring wraps fully around the eye bushing.

Thank you for that detailed reply!
I crawled around it a bit and it looks like it has a new transfer case actuator and luckily, it doesn’t have a sunroof, which I prefer anyway.
There is a newer radiator in it but I plan on upgrading to a bigger aluminum one with electric fans, hopefully that will keep the temp under control, it’s always HOT in Florida! The forward eyes on the leaf springs are in good shape but the drivers side rear is a bit crusty, possibly from some boat ramp action, will eventually have to do some welding there.
Thank you again, I’ll post the updates.
I had a 2007 Adventure, that truck did everything I asked it to do. One of the best I had.
I am not sure I would be in a hurry to do Efans in FL, It/they would be running all the time. So long as the Radiator has a proper and sealed shroud, the clutch fan will for sure be fine. I have no issues with my Efan on the old 07 or my 09 Alpha up here in MI, but we have a SHORT hot season.
Water Pump, 3 core radiator, alternator, belt tensioner, idler pulley, tune up & coil packs, belt & hoses, fan clutch, running way cooler and idling smooth. Next is shocks and a fuel sending unit and probably an E-brake cable, plus a drivers side headlight assembly because I got the condensation. Very happy I bought this thing!...so far
