Rocken Kev... I see who ever owned it before you was into the Blackout Thang..Gen X..LMAO... Super nice looking rig..Remember the off road thing..
Slow as Necessary..Fast as Possible.

I see it has a set of side steps ... Those won't last long after some really rough bad terrain. Your H2 has Built in Rock sliders that will prevent your doors from being crushed. In fact it's made to take some hits. Those Rock Sliders on the side of your H2 are bolted to the frame. You might consider removing the side steps.. The only problem is lifting the wife and kids into the H2..LMAO...

Big Congratulations from Canada!
Beautiful H2!

And I agree, remove the lower tube steps from the rock rails.
First thing I did to our first H2 that came with them.
Looks better without them. They hang too low. It is a quick and easy job.

Have fun in CH.

Hope you went into this with eyes wide open.
Start looking for spare parts vendors over there. This is now a very old vehicle. Parts are getting scarce even in the USA.
And very opposite of Jeep, for which you can buy anything to assemble your own Jeep if you want, in any year.
Not so for the H2, as much has been discontinued by GM and aftermarket vendors.
Just be prepared for the hunt.

Love my H2, hate looking for parts. Love Jeeps also, have had XJ, ZJ, WJ, etc.

indeed buying a H2 is more of a impulsive buy rather than one done with the head!

fingers crossed I don’t have many major issues

I think the guy took good care of it as far as I can tell..

Germany seems to have a decent amount of Hummer parts going ..

if money was no object I would of kept the YJ too 🥲

Thanks for the input 👍

Got Yah Kev... You don't need to off road it to have fun.. The important thing is now you can get the whole family in there with the Dog. Just be mindful of those low hanging steps when Jumping Curbs and Concrete Parking lot Car Stops LMAO....which is about all the off roading you'll be doing. L.O.L.

You mean there is no place that Switzerland will let you off road? What about if you live out of the city in the far country? There must be trails and dirt roads and rocky areas? You could get some money guys together and buy some land and turn it into an off road park...L.O.L. Here in Pennsylvania USA there is a place called Rousch Creek Off road Park. It is an old logging trail and abandoned coal mine area. The Land was bought and turned into an off road park for Jeeps ..Hummers..and ATV's...Here's a Link... https://www.discovernepa.com/thing-t...off-road-park/

Been there many a time with my old club..."Club HUMMER Off Road" Loads Of fun...

Here's one of our trips thru the mud..I'm Number 4 in the line BlacK H2
