Default Please Read... need info from H3T owners!!

I have a deposit on a 2010 Base H3T and I am trading in my 2008 H3 in towards it. I realize that the H3T is longer than the H3 and it got me to thinking if it would even fit in my garage. Well, it appears my garage can only accomodate 207" and the specs state that an H3T is 212.7" in length (5.7 inches too long damn it)!

The specs I mention above have in parentheses - ("including rear tire carrier"). Can you guys let me know if the rear tire carrier is an option on the H3T? If so, this could mean the difference of it fitting in the garage! Also if you guys could confirm the true length specs from actually having an H3T in your possession, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Hey TOYBOX,

I do not know about a rear tire carrier option on the H3T. The spare is mounted under the bed. I pull my H3T all the way in until I touch the front wall. I just took a measurement and from wall to rear tow hook on the bumper it was 213" inches long. I hope you can find 5". I think you need to cut out a section of the front wall.

Not gonna fit as is . Also,do you plan to do any upgrades to the 'T' in the future such as some sort of aftermarket front bumper/winch? Knocking out the garage wall sounds like the way to go to me. A bigger garage is a plus on the resale value, lol . I've just recently caught the Hummer fever so I'm not thinking clearly at this time, lol, because I would even consider knocking out a section of the wall just to accomidate the front end of the truck, might even put in a wide window with some vents below to look like the front of the Hummer, lol. I used to have a garage but then my work area slowly consumed it, now my wife's SUV and my 'T' are both parked in the driveway. Needless to say she still isn't too happy with that, lol. I have two real trucks outside in the elements and a garage full of custom built and being built 1/10 scale radio control trail trucks and crawlers, lol .

Toybox, did you end up trading for the H3T?

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback. Was on the fence regarding the H3T. My H3 had more options than the T and I was apprehensive to trade it in because of it. However, I may have just found another with the options I am looking for. Should have a better idea if it will work out financially after tomorrow! Again, thanks for all your feedback!

Well, looked at the other Hummer with more options at a separate dealership and it didn't go so well. First off, it was an 09 leftover and was in pretty sad shape in my opinion. The thing looked like it had been sitting in a lake for the past year. The entire undercarriage was surface rusted, and it had only 30 miles on the clock! Wasn't thrilled by the appearance but had them run the numbers just for fun and they came up way short on the trade in. So, I went marching back to the other dealer and picked up a 2010 T in All Terrain Blue earlier today.... Yay!

If anything, going to the other dealer made me realize what a good deal I was getting at the other. So, driving the 240 miles round trip to look at the 09 wasn't a complete waste of my time.... I guess?

Excited about having my new T! The dealer allowed me to retain my 35's from my H3 and we plopped those right on at the dealership. The T looks sweet with the 35's!! Question, what do you guys do with the spare location? Haven't tried but I don't think my 35" spare will fit under there? Do you guys carry a 32" spare (Max size) just to have something in case of a flat? Know that running a different size is bad, but really don't want to carry a tire in my bed all the time!
