Default Just bought a H3T, trying to see if it works or not :|

hi yall, just purchased a H3T and it has a absolute nightmare of a wiring setup for the aftermarket remote start along with a couple things unplugged and a purple wire cut.

Originally the passlock was flashing but we let it sit for 10 minutes and went to solid and then off, now it decides to go solid or off. if we crank the engine it clicks once and stops but still drawing power as all lights dim. We discovered if we wiggle one of the wires in the aftermarket remote start it will click constantly but won't start. I have a feeling the engine is seized but I'm not sure or its just bad wiring, I don't exactly recall but I think the crank was moving back and forward just a hair I'm not sure. I hope the engine isn't seized but if it is then I have other plans for this vehicle. I guess I'll take any advice and update this thread with any discoveries

Those G'D' scotch locks are so bad for automotive wiring.

I can 99% guarantee that your starting issue is buried within that thing in your photo.

it really doesn't seem worth it fixing the engine, I'll probably prepare for a V8 swap

How long has it been sitting? Not uncommon for an engine to seize if has been sitting for a long time. Crank it with plugs out to blow out the cylinders, then install some good plugs to get it started and run high rpms to blow all the remaining out.

I have no clue how long its been sitting, possibly a couple months? the crank will spin manually.

I own a 2007 yukon denali parts truck and I'm very tempted to do a swap with a 6.2, I read about a company who can even let you run a 6l80 swap into the H3s so I might go this way depending on the price

Do your swap. In the meantime try to get the current engine started & running. Used 3.7's are going for $4k+

yeah I think I looked at the price of a new one. DOHC/OHC engines are expensive. I def will not replace with another 3.7. underpowered for a 5000lb truck

NEW? Where did you find a "NEW" 3.7 LLR. Btw, my 3.7 never had a problem carrying heavy loads to construction sites. Loaded down with 2k+lbs it does lack power, yet empty I get 0-60mph at 8s. Get your engine running and sell it, put the money towards the swap.
