Default We have a final answer!

I finally got to look at the original flare, new GM flare, 1 aftermarket pocket advertised as working with both the H3T and H3, and a GM pocket from an online reseller...all compared against a used glare with pocket still installed....as well as the one on my T.

Is the suspense killing you?

The H3 and H3T pockets and flares are DIFFERENT. The H3T flare has a slightly (maybe 1/2") larger diameter hole on the flare for the pocket. The pocket is also angled slightly different and is a little deeper. If you put the H3 pocket into the H3T flare, the notches will be showing around the outside of the pocket.

Now.....anybody know the best place to get a new top outer grill that's not chrome? Somebody oainted a chrome one before I got the truck and it's bubbling. Want to have the shop paint a replacement grill while theyre doing the flare.

I've found a few but I was hoping for a little cheaper. Most appear to be about $300. Saw one for $150ish a few months ago, but was too dumb to buy it. I've slso heard the cheap aftermarket copies don't fit right. Body shop says it'll be very difficult to strip and sand my existing grill.

sand and paint the peeling one you have? maybe some rino bed liner since it has texture? i did it to some billet chrome plated door handle buckets and it has held so far fine.

That looks great! I don't think it would work if I just did the grill though. I'm trying to match the look of the orange paint.

Not a clue on the PNs. The parts are at the body shop. Guess I shoulda taken pics of the #'s.

One is for an H3, one listed for both H3 and H3T. They were the same....and too small. H3T was obviously not correct in the listing. As you can see, the H3T one is shaped different.

THANKS for posting the results showing that there IS in fact differences in the H3 and H3T fuel bezel. Maybe someone will concede to being incorrect?

Do you understand English? The bezels are off by 1/8". Look up to find the bezel that fits the T(2nd design).SMH

I just purchased a 300k house for 186k that needs updated. Most important tool for renovating is a TAPE MEASURE.
Do you have the ability to measure and provide the diameter, of the cutout?

No need to be rude. I stopped by thebody shop and took a few photos. I'm not going to keep going back for more research. The parts are clearly different....see photos.

You asked for help, yet can't provide a measurement nor part numbers?
I know what fits the H3T! Same fits my '07 H3.
