Flexfuel is it only available on the Alpha model?
Mine is an Alpha and I have the Flexfuel logo on the tailgate....but I haven't noticed it on the I5 models. Is the Alpha the only one that has the Flexfuel technology?
Anyone else have it, and does it do anything substantial?

Flexfuel can only be used in the 2010 Alpha's. I have not used it yet for 2 reasons. First you don't get as much bang for your buck. ( Less MPG's) and there are no gasohol stations in my area. In fact I have never seen one. I don't get out much...

Yes, and it features active fuel management and e85 capable
Yes sir only the 2010 alpha features the flexfuel logo with the active Fuel management which turns 4 cilinders off at light highway speeds, and is also capable of using e85 which i have never seen anywhere i believe it is used in south america; brazil and its neightboors
As a matter of fact my dad drives a 5.3 single cab and my mom a suburban flexfuel both 4x4s and at 220 miles my dad has to fill up while mom still has 1/4 tank even thogh hers is way heavier, that is really awsome imo. I did half the same run they do, bought my 2010 t flexfuel at this city, filled it up and i did return with over half tank, so i believe its just a notch under the suburvan 07 but definitely not as bad as the chayenne 07 single cab

premium gas?
By the way mine has a sticker by the door latch, next to the tire pressure stickers i belive, and it says "use only premium gasoline" so 93 octane would be it. I just ignore it.... Seems stupid filling a truck on premium gas, i just go by regular 83 octane. So does my mom she bought it new and shesgot ove 100,000 no problems on regular

The Generation IV Vortec 5300 engines are truck engines that share all the improvements and refinements found in other Generation IV engines. At present, four versions of the 5300 are in production: two iron block versions (LY5 and LMG) and two aluminum block versions (LH6 and LC9). All versions feature the Active Fuel Management system, and starting with MY 2010, variable valve timing (engine RPO codes stayed the same)."

My moms' 07 suburban 4x4(heavy) gets many more miles than my dads' 07 single cab chayenne z71(light truck)
Correct me if im wrong, but you have to use a nonflexfuel and a flexfuel to see the difference, im sure my dads' MPGs its on pair with my 05 ram hemi!
