Looking to see what kind of winch anybody is running? also what features and about how much it was? I was going to take off the original bumper and put it behind that. I'm hoping to find a wireless remote winch.

I also am looking. I am really leaning toward the Hyd. ones. All of mine have always been electric but I got a buddy with the Hyd. and he loves it. Its a little more expensive but you don't put such a load on the electric system and battery. I swear that winch is unbelievable. I went over to his house to drink and watch a football game one Saturday evening and his wife told me he was down in the back pasture trying to get the tractor unstuck. She told me to take the Four wheeler down there. When I showed up he was in a bind! He had a Ford 5000 buried to the frt and rear axles, his wifes H3 was strapped to it and had sunk it to the bottom of the doors. His Ford F-250 4wd was chained to the frt of the H3. The truck was also stuck but not bottomed out yet. He has a Hyd. 12,000 mile marker winch on the front of it. He was muddy up to his frickin waist. I couldn't help it but was laughin my azz off at him. It was a hellasite... I didn't even think to pull out my cell and take a pic of it to show everyone else.... Anyway he pulled out the winch cable and I took it from him and took off to a big oak by the Gate about 40 feet away. I had to run back up to the barn to get another chain to go around the tree to hook up his cable. I told him he was going to have to get them out one at a time, no way it would drag the h3 and tractor. He said F___ it! I'm tired, muddy mad and if it dont I'll leave the whole mess down here till It dries up~! First thing he broke the chain around the tree. I went back up to the house and got a 20k Hoist strap I keep in the back of my H3. Put it around the tree and I swear I ain't lieing. between the Ford and the Hyd. winch he got all three out in one long pull... I have never seen a winch pull like that before. I wasn't sure that a bull dozer was going to get the whole mess out. Anyway, I'm sold on the hyd. just on that one experience with them. Never wound up or pulled the engine down, just purred and pulled at same pace, never slacked up....Ck them out....
