Those #s are speedo corrected for an H3 Alpha with the 37" IroKs, winch, bumper, Rock Sliders, UCP, Roof Rack, and other heavy stuff.

I've seen lots of posts about 20 MPGs but I find them hard to believe. Heck, DOC has the e-fans and stuff and I don't think he ever got close to 20 MPG.

My best was in an I5 h3 with 265 tires at apx 38 lb on a long trip, 20 mpg at 65 to 80 mph. Now with 285 tires max, < 18.
Swap you for 265!!

I hit 19.1 and 19.3 on the same trip the month before. On this trip across Texas I had a roof rack and a tailwind to get 20mpg. I'll probably not do that well again, but I can alway say I did it. I've seen 10mpg around town stoplight to stoplight on short trips and normally see mid teens on my hwy commute.

Oh, you are going by a ScangaugeII. Now I can see where this 20MPG # is coming from.

You can always trust the ScangaugeII MPGs ..... Right DOC!

With all the data available on the can bus I don't see why the sc2 can't be easier /more automatic than it is. I gaVe up messing with mine.
It is accurate,IF you feed it precisely at every fillup: too much messing for a 2013 techy product.
You should not need to tell it anything after the initial setup.

I do the routine at every fill up, the scangauge and my calculator are usually within less than 1/2 mpg of each other. If I unplug it accidentally it takes about 3 tanks to get back to calibrated again. GIGO, right? Maybe I can find the gas receipt pic from the 19.3 mpg trip from Tulsa to Dallas.

Ok, found it. You can see the odo in the picture, the gas that went in and the math. I do my part to make technology work for me not fight me.

This is Tulsa to Dallas and about 35 miles running around town to take in dinner, breakfast and a play.
