It's an exhausting process for me buying tires. I research and research. Then watch you tube videos till I'm numb. In the end it's a crap chute.
I've made some ill informed decisions, primarily driven by herd mentally and then regretted it. I've made choices because "that looks so cool" but in the end learned some stuff.
Today, I purchase what works for me.

Looks good. Curious why did you chose the 305/70R16 vs the 285/75R16 as they both measure 32.8 inches tall? The 305 is 1 inch wider, but I’m not sure if it’s noticeable on the stock width wheel?
I had actually consider the 295/75R16 as that tire is actually 33.5 inches tall making it a more true 33 inch tall tire. But like the 305, the 295 is not as common if I needed to buy a replacement, and not have to have the shop order it.
I'm just not a fan of tall/narrow tires. I wanted the same height, but I also wanted the additional width; My original (to me) 285 Michelin AT2s actually had a wider tread footprint than most 285s on the market (including the 285 Bridgestone Duelers that came stock on the truck), so staying with 285 in any other brand would have actually resulted in narrower tires. The new 305s are noticeably wider, even on the stock wheels. And while the 295s might have given me a bit better mpg (debatable) due to the taller gearing/smaller section width, that same taller gearing would reduce acceleration/power a bit as well. Noticeable? Maybe, maybe not.

True, IF all else is equal. In the real world, there are other variables to consider, like tire weight, gearing, and usage (mostly highway, mostly city stop/go, etc), all of which can skew those results.

A neighbor of mine just put his second set of Nitto Grappler’s on his Jeep. He also has them on their Toyota 4 Runner too. He said he’s had the best wear & luck with Nitto’s. On the 4 runner they were more of a AT tire and his Jeep was a mud type tread. I know Nitto is the sister company of Toyo, and I’ve had good luck with Toyo on my Silverado over the years.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, a tire can perform one way on one vehicle and you can get a totally different result on another vehicle.

My 285's only have a 255 footprint @38psi. I enjoy driving my H3 + saving money.

they looked really mounted on my Moto Metal wheels.
It saved me time & money looking for tires.

Not a tire brand I’d probably chose. Past experience with a performance tire for my wife’s car soured me on the Falken brand. But I’ve now had multiple people & tire shops give high praise on the Falken Wildpeak line of tires. They say they are allot better than they were 8-10 years ago.
