Transmission tube gasket?
No gasket. It holds itself in place by being a tight fit. Push it in farther.
Check your transmission fluid to see if it is nice and clear red, or is it brown/black and smell burnt. When was the last time the trans fluid and filter were changed?

The bracket that is welded to the tube and bolts up to one of the transmission bell housing bolts may have cracked. Or, if the engine or transmission have been removed and installed, the bracket may have not been re-attached.
Thanks for the reply doc. I tried pushing it in but it just kept moving back out. Dropped it off to mechanic this morning. He said it was an easy fix. They previously worked on that area so not sure if a mistake was made or not but will find out today.
Fluid looked ok but that that was also bc I had just dumped more in bc it had blown a ton out. Not sure on filter but thanks to your reply I asked them to double check that. Thanks!

REPLY: good info. Thanks. Yes the engine had been replaced (blew the other one but had warranty) and I suspect it might be the bracket. Will reply when shop sends me a diagnosis. Dropped it off this morning. They said it was an easy fix esp since they replaced the engine.
