I have a 2008 h3 sometimes when i stop and then take off I have a knocking noise from the transmission and it has no power if i put it in low and take off it is fine It shifts and runs fine like I said it does not do it all the. It goes into 4X4 fine any ideas would be great Thank You in advance

 

How many miles on the clock? When was the last time you changed the Trans fluid and filter. What is the level and quality of the fluid?

 

it has a little under 155 thousand miles on it I had a trans fluid flush about 100 miles ago if that much. It was done at the local shop and I am not sure if they changed the filter or what fluid was used

 

What I meant about Quality of fluid is based upon COLOR not the brand. Did you even check the level or LOOK on the dip stick? Maybe the local shop did not fill it all the way.

At 155K I would think you are in rebuild territory.

 

PO of my rig said it shifted awfully, had to have the rebuild trans rebuilt again, but it turned out it was the bad battery terminals causing all kind of electronic weirdness.

Yes, look at the color of the trans fluid. See if it turned black at all.

Also, a knocking around when you take off MAY be a bad diff bushing (that's my case).
