Default Transmission... Gone...

Driving down the road, heard what I thought was a rock kick up... went to keep going... the motor was revving, thought I may have kicked it in neutral... nope!

Coasted to safe spot... nothing... no reverse, 1,2,3,...

Any thoughts

Test transfer case. And all 4wd train. If its disconected the truck wont wanna move even in rear wheel drive. Its a safety feature with the traction control, any free spinning parts confuse these functions. Dosent sound like linkage, unless your notising an instant change in slack in the shifter itself when shifting through gears.

Something is very wrong with you people talking down old posts. How about some critical thinking. This information may help future participants, maybe? What does this hurt? These trucks are a dying breed. Looks lIke insecurities as well as attempting to feel important are affecting you. Dan old geezers, knock it off!
P.S. genius it's not for the original poster but for the reader...
