Transfer Case Motor Connector retaining clip
@Doc Olds I did think about using a stainless tie but worry about the steel chafing on the connector and causing more damage than it prevents. If the connector slips at all, that steel tie will slice through the harness wiring faster than a hot knife through butter. My "fix" using a plastic zip tie through the mounting clip holes and extra metal foil tape to protect the area seems to be holding up, but at some point I'd just like to replace the damaged retaining/mounting clip with a new one.
Still looking for the Part Number if anyone has a source.
I will look at that, but suspect the harness itself is already secured upstream and that attach point is far enough away from the connector that it won't solve my issue. It's the short pigtail connector from the actuator that needs to be held in place - if its not secured in its tucked away location the heat from exhaust will melt things. As Doc pointed out, this is Alpha-specific issue.

I have never had an issue with where I have secured that wire harness. If you are that worried about the connector wrap some heat insulator around it. I have it on my extended breather tubes for the Tcase and Trans that run between the body and the passenger side exhaust pipe with no issues.
Now that's funny, I have owned nothing but Alphas and a highly modified Alpha that is in 4LO for 6-8+ hours a day wheeling. I know HOT exhaust and engine compartment temps.

All I'm asking for is a part number - you got one of those? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can provide a random part number......... but I got no idea what the part number is for that plastic retainer you are looking for.
You could consider making a sleeve for a metal zip tie with a small diameter (3/8 - 10MM) heat shrink silicone hose, or even vacuum hose as that chit has high working temp range. Yeah... I am sure you thought of that so I am just throwing out suggestions for entertainment purposes.
