I use Schwartz’s but I want to make sure the information they providing is correct
I used new head bolt engineer tech but when I was torquing it . I did 22 but then the 155 degree seemed a lot I did 90 degree becuase it got really really hard and I didn’t want to snap it. Did you do 155 degree on the 2nd time?
oh I got scared lol I don’t want to go that hard . Would it hurt if I kept it at 90?
the new head bolts I got were enginetech kit not GM oem but they are oem specs
Imagine an engine builder saying to a customer... "yeah we rebuilt your motor, but we did not follow torque specifications because we though they seamed tight. Please pay now and good luck."
They provide specs for a reason, they are to be followed exactly. As in torque and any sequence provided.
