Default Thermostat replaced

Hello,
I have a 2007 H3. Replaced the thermostat housing yesterday and there is now no heat. It blows out only cold air. I have checked my coolant levels as I added new antifreeze after replacing thermostat housing. It worked begore the housing was replaced. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Cold radiator cap OFF, run to operating temperature, with radiator full at operating temp>>>> install cap & turn engine off. When cold re-check coolant level.

Either the Tstat is in backwards or you need to purge the air from the system.

The correct fill procedure is super simple, fill the radiator to full, fill the overflow reservoir to the cold line, start the engine with the radiator cap off, let the engine reach operating temp (the coolant level in the radiator will lower when the T State opens up), add coolant to fill the radiator, put the cap on the radiator. Drive then let cool completely, check the reservoir and add coolant if not at the full when cold line. Drive more, check the reservoir level again to make sure it is still at the full when cold line after the system is at cold.

Always use 50/50 Dex-Cool and distilled water, or just buy it in the 50/50 premix.

I don't think the thermostat can go in backwards on a I5 engine.

Had this happen in the past. I put the H3 up on wheel ramps with the radiator cap off (make sure to take it off or leave it loose first and that the H3 is cold).
I then left the H3 run for as as needed. Slowly added coolant. This is what worked for me a number of years ago.
