Default Spider Diff Cover/guard - worth it ???

I am considering getting a Purple Cranium Spider differential cover. I have SEARCHed and can't find any answers to my questions.

1) anybody have one of these?? and if so, do you like it ?
2) is this worth it, in your opinion? (maybe not but it looks so cool)
3) does this diff cover need to be torqued down or just snug it up and fuggedaboudit? (I don't have a torque wrench)

Thanks, Cliff

Jeepeaterh3 has one installed, if you off road yes it's worth it, the diff cover is stamped metal, back upin to a rock hard enough and the diff is gone, torque wrench no! I personal want to install the indestructible diff cover from ARB.

I have the Boulder Accessories diff cover. Hard to get excited about a diff cover but it looks like it will do the deal.

Now this you can get excited about$150.00 the fill port has a stem with a magnet on the end, you can open it on the trail to see if there is any damage to the diff, cool!!

So, what's the best trail protection against rocks for the rear diff? Both of these cover backing into something, but what about moving forward into a rock? Do either of these things help with that? Or is the front side stronger? It would be great if there were a slider of some sort to help slide over rocks and other obstacles.

I like this one from PML. Not sure if it would really be tougher, but it looks cool.
