You want an answer check back to this forum.

Raise air pressures to 38psi then drive it and advise the outcome.

Agree, sometimes on my h3 when we get cold nights a false alert comes from TPM due to atmospheric contraction in the tire from cold. Go air up. That usually clears my alarm.

Default My Fix

I had a bad tire sensor. But the tire show couldn’t get it to reset. Did a little research and found it had to be driven. 38 pounds all around. Going down the road push the trip button once, all lights and warning gone.

Where does the 38 PSI recommendation come from. The door sticker on my ALPHA X says 32 and that is what I have run for years with no problems. The door sticker on my CE says 35 which I have run for years and no problems. Did GM have a tech update that I missed?
Thanks in advance!

Northern cold climates. Just enjoy that 89°F that you currently have there. It was 35°F
this morning here. Btw, my door placard shows 35psi for the front/rear tires and 50psi for the spare.
Never got a warning light even with sub-zero days, since running my tires @38psi.

I spend a lot of time at almost 9000 elevation in Colorado in my CE(sometimes well below zero) and haven’t had a STM problem. I did replace all sensors with OEM when I put on my last set of tires. On here, I think I remember being advised to go only OEM. Maybe I have been lucky!
Thanks again

It has nothing to do with being lucky! My '07 still has the oem tpm sensors and originally I would receive the warning light during cold temps. Correction was to increase the pressure. I check the pressures 1-2 times per year around 70°F ambient temp and pressures are still @38psi.
FYI, for every 10 degrees of temperature drop, tires will drop 1-2 pounds of pressure. It is important to keep your tires within the recommended PSI to maintain traction, handling and durability.

Just so everyone knows. The tire pressure settings can be changed in the BCM/TPMS module. I believe the default is set for "P" rated tires at 30psi and can be changed for "B" at 40psi, "C" at 50psi, "D" at 60psi and "E" at 80psi. If someone has changed the settings to a "B" rating, then the TPMS message will come on with the tires set at 30psi.
