Default Roof rack key

Long story short.. I bought a 06 H3 and it was missing the roof rack key. Does anyone have a SP05 key that I can purchase or borrow to make a copy?

Thank you in advance.

Our key says Sanhe on one side and 138 on the other. I'd be glad to make a copy for someone. Just pm me

I'd be glad to make someone a copy of our key, but I cannot find any numbers on the roof rack. We have the original roof rack that it came with from the factory. Someone said it's right next to the key hole, but it's not. The number on our key is 138 if that helps any. Can someone tell me if that's the number or where I can find the number on the roof rack? Thanks

If you have a GM original roof rack then the number will be stamped right next to the key slot in the metal.
It will be SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4 or SP5

If you don't have one of those numbers stamped, then it is not a GM rack, or maybe the dealer installed an aftermarket rack.

Number on the key does not help. It's probably a key blank number.

I always thought that our roof rack was original Hummer equipment. But there is no number next to the key slot on the metal. Do we have an aftermarket rack? It says "Hummer" on it

Lots of aftermarket parts say HUMMER.

These racks were made by a third party for GM. Usually they were installed by the dealer.
GM charges an arm and a leg for their accessories. The dealer, or someone else, may have installed a clone to save money.
The clones would have been keyed differently from the ones made for GM.

Here's some aftermarket racks that you can get online today.
Notice they say HUMMER and they are "OE style"

And just because it's aftermarket doesn't make it an inferior part.
In many cases, aftermarket is better than OEM.
