Default Remotes(FOBs) doing something interesting!!

After searching I needed to ask this....

I had my FOBs programmed a few months ago, everything going fine then they began to operate intermittently. Sometimes you could lock or unlock, sometimes not.

Now, nothing except if you place the FOB right next to the outside glass. What’s going on?

I’ve seen post that FOBs totally stop working, but not this.

Before anyone asked, I’ve replaced the batteries in the FOBs.

Any resolve to this matter?

This used to happen to me and it was very weird, for me it would also depend on which fob but it would happen to both. I would be interested to know why this happens.

FOBs straight from GM and it was programmed by a GM dealer.

Seen and know about aftermarket stuff!

I have cheap aftermarket FOB's for half a year, works from huge distance.

Change batteries? Can there be antenna in a car to catch fobs and is not working correctly?

Could be dirty contacts or a weak battery...

You still using the crappy azzed OEM Battery Terminal Connectors????? The fobs work through the BCM, if the BCM does not have a consistent connection to the battery, stuff happens.

I’ll change those.

Could there be anything else that could be effecting the remote entry?

Could there be a issue with the remote receiver?

The receiver is the BCM, and yes you could have a BCM that is going bad, or the connections for it may be loose, corroded, frayed, even the antenna (single black wire) can get loose. Pull off the passenger side kick panel and take a look.
