Rear differential leaking from fill hole after oil change=It was torqued to specs?

Did you ask the shop that did the work.

Sounds like it may be loose...

It is called overfill..... which is the most common cause of all differential leaks.

Park on a level surface, remove the oil fill plug, let the excess gear lube run out while wiping with a rag. Once it stops immediately put the plug back in.

That solved the problem= I overfilled it.
