Default Possible Fan Belt Problem?

Hey Ladies and Gents. My H3 is a weekend warrior. Unfortunately, that's means she's sits outside in the cold all alone for majority of the week. A few weeks ago when warming her up she was and continues to squeal. Once fully warmed up the volume and pitch of the squealing dies down but never dies out. Also, when I accelerate the volume increases and when I put on the breaks it decreases. A friend of mine thinks its just the fan belt because the truck sits out in the cold. Does this sound right to any of you or could it be another problem. Anyone ever have something like this serviced. Besides that, she drives well. Plenty of get up and go. No engine lights or any other warninsg. Thanks for any insights or suggestions.[sm=smiley24.gif]

Had the same problem at 300 miles. Dealership replaced the serpentine belt. End of squeal.

Thanks guys. I'll have both of those checked out ASAP. I always think it better to catch something before it becomes a bigger problem. Thank God for warranties. When I think about, this is the first car I've had with a warranty, so I better make good use of it!
