I would find a gears/gearing shop that does these jobs and let them get the parts as only some of those or more of other parts may be needed after tear down and inspection. like I mentioned before, I even needed the rear case half and a gear once I had it open and cleaned.

Isolated the issue, chain in the transfer case is stretched. Any one has some suggestions on either rebuild it or replace? If its a replace, any suggestions on what brand I should be looking into on this one? Kind of out of my depth on this now as I have exhausted my limited mechanical skills.

I just had my transfer case replaced with a remanufactured one. Heard a growling like noise at slow speeds and in making slow turns. My H2 has a little over 125,000 miles. Cost me $2500 plus labor so just under $3k. You can search online and get them for about $1900 though.
