EXACTLY! That is why I posted it, so any noob to winching would know NOT to let any DB with this kind of setup hook up to them.

I can't believe this didn't get more responses. 53 people looked at it and you are the only one to respond! Maybe "others" thought this "setup" was OK??????

I was searching "H3 winch bumper" like I do once a week and found this rig for sale. I saw the very questionable connections and the warp around the D-ring and thought "OMFG the first pull and someone is going to get hurt!"

That swivel and carabeaner (sp) will snap on the first pull and send the winch wire flying! Do a YouTube search for "snaped which line" and see what I'm talking about.

But Taint, Sylvester Stallon used the same setup in the movie Cliffhanger. His worked fine LMAO.
