Default Part location. Help

hey everyone,
I have a 07 h3 and the trunk jack cover won't stay on and I know why. I need new holding clips but I have no idea where to look for it. I been searching. On the diagram its part number 8. Its what keeps it closed.

Did you break the latches? If not try tightening the nuts.

Even if you are lucky enough to fine them, I remember them years ago going for about $70 each!!!

Just found them for the bargain price of $63.90 + about $10 shipping.

That's f'n crazy. It's a 2cent piece of plastic, lever, bolt, nut, and a rubber grommet. If all is still there, tighten the grommet, may need to add a small diameter washer to compress the grommet more.

The grommet is flexible, as long as you find something that fits through the mount hole and compresses/expands when latch is pressed, to hold door in place, you are good to go.

Play around with different diameter pieces of rubber tubing. All the nut does is hold it in place and when you flip the cam lever it compresses the rubber for an interference fit in the hole. Not an exact science.

Hummerz....looks like your were posting while I was typing.

Just measured. 1/2" O.D. x 1/4" I.D. x 3/8" Long will give you exactly what you need.
