Anyone paint that silver middle part of the lower bumper black?

Many people have painted that impact bar. They are expensive to replace for what it really is, like $455 + shipping.

You might try RustOleum Hammered Black, it has a bit of texture and matches perfectly to the plastic bumper cover IMHO. Or.... you might go for the WWII fighter plane look and paint some big old teeth and a tounge on that ugly azzed silver.

Seriously, here is a pic of my 07 when I repainted mine (w/ the Hammered Black) because I bashed a rock and mauled the bottom. You can take the entire front bumper off with 8 bolts and take the impact bar out in 30-45 minuts easy. Course I haven't had that bumper back on in over a year, but it did look good with the Hammered Black.
