Is that normal?
I have 2007 hummer h3 3.7 about 140k miles.
I just rebuilt the engine and replaced crankshaft and installed new crankshaft dowel pin. The car runs fine and has little vibration but I think that vibration is normal. I didn’t drive it in months because it was down so I couldn’t really remember the level of vibration. I was checking everything and I was looking at the harmonic balancer and it look like little bouncing. I installed it and torqued it right but I don’t know if I am seeing things . Does this look normal? Or what can be the problem ?
thank you

I got a new motor mounts set that came with the transmission mount, I installed the engine o
mounts But not the transmission.
The car idles very smooth but I just start to get paranoid everytime I see the crankshaft balancer

if you got solid mounts or urethane mounts they are usually hard and transmit vibrations. but maybe the balancer got damaged on removal especially if you used a 2 or 3 jaw puller clamped from the belt pully.
the GM puller usually looks like this

but does it look to you that it’s the actual balancer that’s bad and nothing else serious? Is that usual happen when the balancer start to go bad ? Becuase even when I feel the engine white it’s idling it seem smooth to me . I don’t hear knocking or any other sounds . If it’s the balancer that’s bad I can go to rock auto and order another one and swap it but I just want to make sure before I spend the money and do that. This balancer is the oem original one too
